The Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering at PSU is devoted and focused on projects base for undergraduate students and research base for graduate students. There are six attractive and distinguish research tracks persuading to align with your interest as following:

1) Computer-Aided Design: Using FEM to research biomedical products such as hip protectors, heel shooters, Modeling for engineering applications in the field of CFD. We have licensed commercial software such as SolidWorks, MSC Bundle, and also CFD Software to serve various applications.

2) Applied Mechanics and Materials: Developing and Using Natural rubber in biomedical applications, Natural rubber and Plastic Blending, Synthesis of Composite Materials and Coating Technology for a variety of real-world applications.

3) Thermodynamics and Fluids: Heat transfer enhancement and flow characteristics on a surface of impinging jet, CFD for Cross and Mixed Flow in 2-D and 3-D.

4) Energy: Fluidized bed gasifier for industrial approach, Mixing Technology and Continuous process for biodiesel production, Natural Rubber Sheet Drying Technology, Biomass Wind and Solar Technology

5) Robotics, Automation, and AI: Human-Robot interface in biomedical application, Robotic Control, and System, Machine Learning and Deep Learning research for Manufacturing Process.

6) Modern automotive: Independence hub drive motor control in EV, Formula Student EV.
