สาขาวิชาวิศวกรรมเครื่องกล ระดับปริญญาตรี
วิศวกรรมเครื่องกล เป็นศาสตร์ที่ครอบคลุมพื้นฐานของวิศวกรรมหลายแขนง ประกอบด้วยความรู้ทางทฤษฎีและการประยุกต์ เกี่ยวกับ ของแข็ง ของไหล ก๊าซ ความร้อน และกลไก ในระบบต่างๆ เช่นเครื่องจักรกล เครื่องยนต์ กระบวนการผลิต การออกแบบ พลังงานรูปแบบต่างๆ การทำความเย็นและปรับอากาศ เป็นต้น ดังนั้นวิศวกรเครื่องกล จึงมีบทบาทหลักในการออกแบบ พัฒนา และผลิตอุปกรณ์ต่างๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับชีวิตประจำวันของมนุษย์ ให้มีความปลอดภัย มีคุณภาพ และมีประสิทธิภาพสูงสุด
วัตถุประสงค์การศึกษาของหลักสูตรวิศวกรรมเครื่องกล (PEOs)
• PEO-1: Professional Practice and Technical Expertise
Graduates successfully engage in the practice of Mechanical Engineering within industry, government, and private practice, working toward sustainable solutions in a wide array of technical specialties including next-gen automotive, green energy technology, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning design and service, mechanical system design and automation.
• PEO-2: Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Continuous Development
Graduates employ their leadership skills toward professional growth and development such as pursuing advance study in Mechanical Engineering, professional licensure and continuing education. Some graduates transition into other professions, such as entrepreneur, education, business, and law through further education.
• PEO-3: Societal Service and Professional Engagement
Graduates provide impactful service ethically and professionally to society and the engineering profession through active membership and participation in professional engineering societies, government advisory bodies, educational institutions, and civic organizations, leading to a vibrant and sustainable society.
